A saffron field is different from the other farms. When the other farms are in the growth phase, the saffron field is in the sleep phase and does not need any water to survive at this time. There is no difference between a small saffron container and a big saffron farm, and both of them are decorating cold winter days.
We have a collection of saffron farm images categorized into four sections, spring, summer, fall, and winter. If each of these images needs to be described, we have done it, and we hope this will be useful and inspiring for you.
Saffron Fields in The Spring
The farm condition in the spring is relative to the climate and weather temperature. If we have a hot spring, probably the saffron leaves turn yellow and then dry and disappear. In the below image, we have a saffron field that is still green, and probably there is an excellent spring in this area.
This image is taken after the saffron bulb multiplication process and as you can see, bulbs are replicated and grown up.
Field of Saffron in the Summer
Summer is the resting season of the saffron farm and if you go to the farm most likely you will not see anything on the ground.
Growing saffron process in the summer.
We are seeing some saffron bulbs in this image that are planted 20 cm deep. This depth is the best for saffron planting and increases saffron farm efficiency.
Note that if you plant the seeds higher or lower than this depth, you will have problems, and the yield of the saffron field will decrease.
Suitable planting depth of saffron
After eight years of planting, this image is about the saffron bulb harvesting process. One of the most important saffron planting incomes is bulb propagation. If we plant 10000kg of bulbs in the first year, we probably have more than 70000kg of bulbs, and this is a clear example of a scalable business.
The time for bulb transferring is summer, and if we want to harvest and transfer saffron seeds, this is the best time. Also, after harvesting bulbs, we have just two weeks to plant bulbs again, and after that, the bulbs will be in danger of environmental factors.
Saffron Garden in the Fall
When the saffron harvesting season arrives, we have some guests on our farm and bees are one of these guests. Bees can make the process difficult and cause harm to people picking saffron.
Saffron irrigation methods are in development and this type (traditional) of water should be changed. But this is not simple and a high percentage of saffron fields are still irrigated by traditional methods.
In the photo above, you can see the first moments of saffron flowering.
One of the methods of saffron field management is that you can do some tricks to grow saffron flowers first and then grow saffron leaves, and this will facilitate the process of saffron harvesting. If you want to learn this method, you can contact our technical team.

What do you see in this image?
The deserts are more than useless deserts, we just have to look at them properly.
Saffron Farm in the Winter
Do not worry about snow. The physiology of the saffron plant is such that it flowers before the severe cooling of the air and usually ends before the snowfall begins.
